Location

    The course covers sixteen miles of dirt and gravel on Little Shepherd Trail, located on the ridgetop of Pine Mountain in Harlan County, Kentucky. The race finishes on asphalt near the lake inside Kingdom Come State Park. The event begins at Village Center mall with transportation to the trail leaving at 8:30 a.m. Transportation will also be provided back from the trail to the Village Center.

Course Description

    Rolling hills on the dirt/gravel of Little Shepherd Trail with only one major climb. Finishing on asphalt near the lake inside Kingdom Come State Park. The course is a point to point course with transportation from and back to the staging area at Village Center for the awards ceremony that afternoon.

Directions from Village Center to Kingdom Come State Park

    Turn left out of parking lot at light #11 onto 421
    Go 3.2 miles to light #1 and go straight through as 421 becomes 119
    Go 20.3 miles to the first light in Cumberland
    From this light, go straight another 1.7 miles before turning left onto 1254
    Go 0.7 miles and turn right onto Park Road
    Park in the first lot (right to left) at the top of the hill
